Homeschool Room Make Over

I had a little bit of extra time on my hands and since we are ahead in Trenton's school work I thought I would take a day and redo the classroom. We didn't really have a "room" before. we kind of just did school work at his little desk in the living room and he had a little shelf with his books on it. I was not really digging it because I couldn't hang much on the walls as far as letters and charts and things because it's the living room and I didn't really want all that stuff on my walls. So i kept all the curriculum stuff in the basement in a tote and we did his ocean theme on the kitchen/hallway wall and it was just kind of all over the place. So I decided(Ok it was really Barak's idea) to make part of my craft room into the school room too.

I really like how it turned out. I even made a section just for Ava so she didn't feel left out when we do school. Her spot is the blue desk and little chair with her own pencil box full of crayons and her color books. she also has a little table for puzzles over by the hammock. (she loves to read books in the hammock).

So now everything is in one place and i can hang things on the wall. our theme for the rest of the school year is OCEAN so I hung the net on the wall and everytime we learn a new animal it gets hung there. Today we learned about sea shells and Starfish. he had fun looking at the real sea shells and dried up starfish(from Aunt Debbie) and we watched some Youtube videos of how starfish eat, and move and live.

This is how TJ acts when he gets out of the tub. "i'm so cold" and he crouches into a little ball under his towel instead of just drying off and go get clothes on.
