Wisconsin Trip Part 1

DAY ONE: TRAVEL FROM MICHIGAN TO INDIANA.

We decided to spend the night at a hotel 1/2 way between MI and WI. It is only a 5 1/2 hour drive to Wisconsin and we could have made it but we thought we would just take the time and stay at a hotel and go swimming and hang out. THis is how we started out the trip....

This is what it looked like 1 hour before we got to Wisconsin.

Swimming at the hotel pool. Fun for me and Barak and Ava.....Trenton, not so much. He is scared of the water people...terrified. he is so afraid that his face is going to get wet and that he will swallow water. no amount of assurance or holding on to him would convince him. Teaching him to swim or float, even with his life jacket on----nearly impossible. it's a good thing we were the only ones in the pool because this kid screamed bloody murder if you take your hands off him in the water. He was more content to sit on the steps of the pool, or on the ledge. he might have had as much fun there as we did in the water. Ava on the other hand LOVES the water, she can't get enough. jumping and splashing--she's a little water baby for sure.

Yup this is as happy as TJ was. sitting on the steps where he knows he won't drown.

We made it to Wisconsin....Hanging out with cousin Hillary.

Time to go over to Papa Jim's house and set up for the wedding.. Trenton got to ride back and forth delivering chairs on the tractor. Ava hanging out with Uncle Brenton
Helping Papa Jim and Papa move the boat into the pond. After all that hard work we need some Icecream. Sitting patiently in the scorching hot sun waiting for ice cream.
