Memorial Day and Stay at home vacation

Memorial day was the start of our stay at home vacation for a week. We are working to pay off student loans and the second morgage to be debt free. So that means no spending extra money on vacations that we can't really afford right now. but the good part is, come september all we will have left is our student loans. So instead of vacation, we did a stay at home vacation and did some fun things with the kids. Memorial day we watched the teeny tiny parade here in town. Trenton enjoyed watching the firetrucks and army trucks, and yes, even tractors. Then we went to the beach to hang out. the water is still too cold to swim in, but the kids had fun playing in the sand with buckets of water.

Here's what we've been doing this week *Beach *Chuckee Cheese *New playgrounds and splash pad *swimming in the kiddy pool in the back yard *working in the garden *special snacks and staying up late *Going on walks

looks and sounds like you ALL had a great time. Lots of times it's the simple things that turn out to be the most fun. the video cracked me up! not sure if Ava was trying to taste the water of scoop the sand out and that's the reason she went to get the shovel. TJ has sooooo much patience with her. He doesn't even get mad when she comes over and "butts" in! lol
Love, love, love the pic. of TJ kissing Ava and then the one where they are looking and smiling at each other.
How stinkin' cute is her hair in the pony tails!!!!
