Going away

Barak and I are going away this weekend. We are meeting my parents 1/2 way between Michigan and Newyork, which just so happens to be Cleveland, Ohio. We are just doing a quick visit before they come here to Michigan in April for Trenton's Birthday. I think we are going to go to the cleveland zoo and then go out to dinner for my birthday and relax at the hotel. it should be fun. It will be nice to get away for a weekend.

I've been going through the nightmare of trying to find a kennel that does boarding for Schatzi. There are so many places but they are all soooo expensive. Like this one place I called charged $50 for overnight stay. Seriously?! wow. Turns out the dog gets her own suite with a TV tuned to her favorite channel, and heated dog bed, a doggie door that goes out to her own private patio, human interaction/play, food 3 times a day and the list goes on....I mean really, its a DOG people. I think I finally found one that boards for 10 bucks a night...but there is no website for the business so its hard to tell what the place is like. I may have to go there first and check it out. but anyway, its been a pain in my butt for the past few days.

I decided on doing the 2 teir birthday cake that looks like a bandana. i hope it turns out alright. there are no specific instructions so i only have the picture to look at...we'll see how it turns out.

He was doing one of those fake meltdowns where he had to actually try to make himself cry and the more I laughed the more it made him mad so finally he was able to squeeze out a few tears. so glad I had the camera handy. haha...
