Planning TJ's 2nd Birthday Party

Okay I know his birthday is 2 months away, but i really don't like to be rushed. I'm an early planner!! I'm going to do a cowboy/western theme this year. I'm only having family and friends over...well, probably just family, but still I think it will be fun to do a theme party. Last year I did cookie monster and I made a cookie monster cake which was fun to do. this year I think i'm going to make a Horse cake or some type of cowboy cake. here are a couple I found that I would like to do: let me know what one you like better. instead of pink on this horse, I would do red. so vote now!

I got Trenton a cute cowboy hat and Em might be finding trenton some cowboy boots since she lives in Texas. they are easier to find there than they are here in michigan!! He's going to look like a little cowboy! i'm excited. I love to plan stuff like this. And I can't believe he'll be 2!!
In other news:
I am going to try the naked approach to potty training this week. He is just not getting the hang of potty training and wearing diapers and trainers at the same time. so a few people have told me that when they potty trained their boys they let them go around naked for a day or 2 and let them have accidents untill they get the hang of it. I tried the naked approach for 1 afternoon and i could tell that trenton did not like the feeling of pee running down his leg. he kind of looked at me like "what the heck is going on here". and as soon as he started peeing i directed him to the potty. i only tried it for the afternoon, so the next step is to get a day or 2 where i'm home all day to work with him on it. hopefully he will get it. He will not be climbing 0n any furniture in those couple days i can assure you of that! i am not cleaning pee off my white couch! and good thing we will be getting new carpet soon, so i'm not too worried about that.
i will post some pictures later.....

My vote is cake #3. If you are doing horses within the party theme like plates, cups, decor, etc. I would be better to go with a central cowboy theme cake rather than just a horse. I also like the cowboy hat on top. It adds a nice touch. Well, that is my opinion. Sounds like a cute idea:) I can't believe the baby is going to be two!!! Give him a squeeze for me.

grrr i just tried to post and it erased it...

i am 100% sure that i can find the shirt and boots for TJ - just let me know what type of shirt - long sleeve? any color in particular? polo shirt style that looks western? what color boots? brown? black? i also think i might be able to find him a big texas style beltbuckle

i like all 3 cakes - the horse head kinda reminds me of the godfather

i like the horse #1 or horse #2 - the 3rd cake looked too complicated for him to understand. he looks at the horse and knows right away what it is. i'd definitely change the ribbon though and the "bows" in the mane- make it more boyish.
i almost pee'd my pants (not really) just laughing at the naked story! just trying to picture him running around the house naked and peeing wherever makes me think i'm glad my potty training days are over -LOL :) LOL :)!!!!!!!
