Trenton goes to the Doctor

Today was Trenton's 15 month well check up. He is doing great, gained 2 pounds since his birthday and grew 2 1/2 inches!! The doc. said he is getting taller faster than he is gaining weight so he is only in the 20th percentile for his weight. He's not necessarily underweight, but he may just be a tall skinny kid. I think he has a bit of claustrophobia, because when we went into the little doc. office the nurse closed the door and he just screamed and ran to the door to get out. So she opened the door a few inches and then he was fine. He does the same thing when we get on an elevator too. weird.. Anyway, He had to get 2 shots today. I always hate that because he cries so hard! they said I could hold him on my lap and to just hold his arms down. then each nurse got on one of his arms and they counted to 3 then jabbed him at the same time in each arm. Breaks my heard to see him cry like that! Other than the shots, he's great and doens't have to go back until he's 2, Plenty of time to forget about all that trauma.
He has a bunch of bruises on his legs and knee area and for the longest time I could not figure out where they came from. finally one night he woke up screaming so I run into his room to find his legs wedged in between the crib rails. I finally got him free and he went back to sleep. a few days later the same thing happens at nap time. this time I had to use some baby lotion to help ease his knees out of the slats. now his legs are all bruised up but he won't quit putting his legs between the rails. So now i'm on a mission to get a breathable mesh bumper for his crib so that this stops happening. I don't understand why he keeps doing it, especially if it hurts him. he has bruises on top of bruises....

Timmy is a head-banger. He used to bang his head in his crib. Now he does it when he's in a time-out. and we're not talking just bumping his head on the wall. I mean he leans forward and throws his head back into the wall. It freaks me out. But he will supposedly grow out of it, at least I hope.

I hope you can find a mesh.

I was so glad to find your blog! YAY! I look forward to reading more!
