However, it didn't stay around very long(2 days actually). The weather reached into the 50s and then the rain came and melted all the snow away and unfortunately all those inches of snow had no where to melt to except into our basement. We had a couple of days of constantly mopping up water and sucking it up with the shop vac and then after there was no more rain we had a couple days of the basement trying to dry out. The problem is that there are some cracks in the basement floor in Barak's man cave and we have carpet laid down so when there is a lot of rain or in this case a lot of snow that melted very fast, the water has no where to go after it saturates the ground so it starts coming in through the cracks. It doesn't happen very often, maybe twice a year.....oh yeah, and that time our water heater broke and flooded the basement. Fun times.
Anyway, after that happened a couple of days later here we are in the midst of another snow storm. We have about 10" on the ground right now. The kids had fun playing in it today. I just hope this time it can all melt at a slower pace.

sorry to hear of all the water problems-I know what that's like!!! 10" of fun for the kids-actually, picutures of the kids sliding down the hill brings back a lot of fun memories-would love to slide down the hill with them! lol You're always the one taking pictures. Did you get to join in the fun?
