Schatzi and Trenton are finally FRIENDS

I did not forget about this blog....Its just been really busy here and the weather is nice so we have been outside a lot more so i have not had much time to update. I have been busy with a possible business opportunity with my online store and have been doing some research and thinking on that...it would require me to knit twice as much product as i am doing currently, which would potentially give me more business, but i'm not sure if i want to invest that much time into yet. the extra money would be awesome, but like it said it will require more time, and with summer coming, i just don't know if there will be more time...we shall see.

we have also had some issues with the dog and the neighbor and a cop showing up at our house.....everything is fine, we didn't get a ticket or anything. but Schatzi was apparently barking too much and a neighbor didn't like it. so we have been working with schatzi and a shock collar to keep her barking to a minimum. but in the end, she is a DOG and dogs bark...its kind of their thing. She will be 7 months old next month so she is still a puppy, but she is so big that people don't realize that. she will be getting spayed may 3rd....and HOPEFULLY she will not go into heat before that.

we have been working on getting the garden dug up and the rows lined. We've been doing that every night for the past week. Trenton likes to help too! although, sometimes he isn't really helping :) He likes hunting for the worms and the toads. we have found 3 toads so far and he doesn't like to pick them up but he will watch them jump around...keeps him busy. We are thankful for the garden spade/hoe/rake that are just his size that his uncle brenton passed down to him! we will be planting all types of vegetables in the garden(thanks for the seeds DAD!!) Barak got me a raspberry bush and strawberry plants that I had been wanting for Mothers Day. we can plant them this year, but strawberrys take 2 years to see fruit and raspberry's 1 year, so
we won't get fruit this year....

I guess we will be doing vacation with mom and dad in JUNE for a week. we are going to niagara falls for a few days then back to mom and dad's house and they are going to watch trenton for a few days while Barak and I go out to NYC. that will be fun since neither of us has been to the city before.

*****UPDATE******

we found out what happened with the dog situation. It turns out that Schatzi was in her kennel in the yard when the neighbor guy was mowing the grass. schatzi was barking at him because our yards run together and she thought he was in our yard. he finally finished that part of the yard, and went on the other side of the fence to finish his back yard. It turns out that he knocked himself out when he hit his head on a tree limb while mowing. which is when his wife came out and was on the deck talking on the phone. she was actually calling 911 and schatzi was barking and she coudn't hear. that was about the time i looked out the door and saw her barking and brought her in.....did not know Al was knocked out in the back yard. about 20 min. later the cop shows up at our door saying their was a complaint about the dog. when we talked to Al yesterday he said that they never actually told the cops they were complaining about the dog. the cop could hear over the phone schatzi barking and wanted to make sure the dog was penned up before they got there. but when the cop came to the door he made it sound like they were complaining about our dog when really she was complaining that she couldnt hear because the dog was barking.....so anyway, i guess we are still friends with the neighbors :)
