Potty Learning in the Schimp House

Well the big news this week is that Trenton has started potty learning. I realize he is no where near being completly trained but he has shown a lot of interest in the toilet and flushing it so we got him his own little potty. At first i just let him sit on it like a chair so he got used to being on it, then once he knew it was for sitting on then I let him try to use it. He knows what do to when I say "lets go potty". he'll run right to it and stand there waiting for me to help him get his pants down. He goes in it about 3 times a day, usually after naps and whenever I go to change him and his diaper is dry. So at this point we are just getting him used to the idea of a potty chair, and we will probably wait a couple months before we actually start "training" him. He's only 16 monthsold, but hey, its less diapers for me to change!

I worked 4 over night shifts this week. I went in at 10pm and left at 8am. its really easy shift because usually the client is in bed when I get there, and still asleep when I leave. SHe doesn't need assistant in the night most of the time. i think i have been up with her once or twice the whole 4 days. So basically I got paid to go there and watch TV and sleep and the best part is, I dont have to worry about being away from trenton because he is asleep when I leave and just getting up when I come home! Usually i don't work 40 hours a week, but when I can get easy shifts like this I take them. The sad part is, whenever a client requests overnight shifts they are on the verge of moving to a nursing home. whenever you need help during the day, AND at night...you know it means they are getting close. which is the case with this lady. she will be moving in probably a month. so i take the shifts while they last, because in another month I may have nothing for a while.
